ITIL Practitioner Course

The Fox ITSM ITIL Practitioner Course enables organizations and individuals to increase the value they obtain from using ITIL by offering additional practical guidance to adopt and adapt the framework to support and enable Customers. It is the natural next step after ITIL Foundation for professionals who have already learned the basics of IT Service Management (ITSM) and the business value of well-designed and delivered services.

Addressing the demand from ITSM practitioners and organizations of all sizes worldwide, the ITIL Practitioner course and exam will equip ITSM professionals with added practical guidance to enhance leveraging ITIL in line with their organizations’ business and customer goals.

Structure

The course is delivered in accordance with an accredited course syllabus and certification process. It combines tutorials, practical exercises and is reinforced through the trainers proven implementation track record.

Course Content

The course will cover:

ITIL CSI Approach

ITIL Practitioner covers the Continual Service Improvement (CSI) approach as the way to structure any improvement initiatives.

The 3 crucial areas of success of any improvement initiatives

ITIL Practitioner also covers three key areas that are crucial to the success of any improvement initiative, namely; Organizational Change Management, Communication and Measurement and Metrics.

Who should attend?

The course and examination are suitable for:

  • Individuals who require a practical understanding of how ITIL best practices may be implemented to enhance the quality of IT service provision and service management within an organization
  • IT professionals working within or about to enter a service environment
  • Individuals who have attained the ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management and want additional practical guidance to adopt and adapt the framework to support their business or customers
  • Individuals seeking the ITIL Expert Certification in IT Service Management.

Pre-requisites

Students wishing to attend this course and take the examination must fulfil the following requirements:

  • Hold the ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management which must be presented as documentary evidence

In addition, it is desirable that students have a basic IT literacy and around 2 years IT experience.

Structure

The course is delivered in accordance with an accredited course syllabus and certification process. It combines tutorials, practical exercises and examination practice, reinforced through the trainers proven implementation track record.

Documentation

Delegates will be issued with a course workbook, in-course hand-outs, practical assignments and other relevant material. The official ITIL™ Practitioner Best Practice publication is also provided as it is required for reference during the examination.

Examination

The ITIL Practitioner examination duration is 2 hours and 15 minutes. The examination is open book, i.e. the official ITIL™ Practitioner Best Practice publication is allowed for reference during the examination. The examination is based on scenarios that the candidates will be familiar with from attending the course. Multiple Choice Questions(MCQs) are set based on the context provided by additional information given in the examination. Candidates are expected to achieve a score of 70%, i.e. 28 marks or higher, in order to pass the examination. Successful candidates who pass the ITIL Practitioner Exam receive 3 credits towards the ITIL Expert Certification.
